You ever stop mid-toothbrush and think,
“Wait—am I overthinking this or am I just… finally seeing things clearly?”
Because that’s the dangerous part of clarity.
It doesn’t always arrive with a peaceful cup of tea and angel numbers.
Sometimes it barges in at 2am like, “Hey babe. Hate to break it to you, but you’re not that overwhelmed. You’re just terrified of what this means.”
Yeah. That part.
Especially if your brain, like mine, treats overthinking as both a hobby and a coping mechanism. One thought turns into three turns into seventeen, and now you’re neck-deep in a Substack post about decision fatigue and adult attachment styles, wondering if maybe that’s the answer you’ve been looking for.
Spoiler: it’s not.
But the dopamine hit of faux-clarity? Oh, baby. That’s the good stuff.
That moment where your brain’s like, “YES. Finally. Let’s completely reorganize your entire life around this one half-thought!”
So you open your Notes app. Again.
You rewrite the plan. Again.
You go looking for more evidence on the internet. Again.
Even though—be honest—you already know what you want.
You’re just scared it might cost you something.
And you're not wrong.
Because clarity?
It rarely whispers.
It roars.
It asks you to leave things.
Say things.
Become someone you were always meant to be, but have been avoiding because—well, let’s face it—she’s intense. She’s electric. She doesn’t people-please or over-explain. She wears crop tops and has strong boundaries.
And let’s just say: not everyone is going to love her.
But here’s what no one puts in the brochure:
Self-doubt doesn’t show up when you’re lost. It shows up right before you find yourself.
Right before you:
Launch the podcast
Send the text
Quit the job
Leave the relationship
Say the truth out loud, and then stand in it like you’re not waiting for someone else’s permission
And that little voice that sounds like uncertainty?
Sometimes it’s just your nervous system bracing for impact.
Not because you’re wrong—but because you’re about to do something that changes things.
That’s not weakness. That’s biology.
So here’s what I do when I’m deep in it:
I give myself 10 seconds. Just 10.
No more journaling.
No more spiritual bypassing.
No more asking for advice I’m going to ignore anyway.
I do The Brave Thing.
Three questions. Two breaths. One Brave Thing.
Ask:
What would I know to be true if I trusted myself explicitly?
What is within my power to control right now?
What’s the bravest thing I can do in this moment?
Then breathe. Twice.
Like you’re your own human weighted blanket.
Inhale: I am safe. I am whole.
Exhale: I can let go of what’s not mine to carry.
And then… do a Brave Thing in the direction of someone you’re proud of being.
It doesn’t have to be dramatic.
It just has to be honest.
Because the truth is?
Most of us don’t need more clarity.
We need more courage to honor the clarity we already have.
Self-trust isn’t built in theory.
It’s built in motion.
In choosing what’s true—even when it’s terrifying.
In showing up for yourself like you’re the love of your own life.
And maybe you are.
So here’s your nudge.
Is it actually wrong, or just new?
Is that fear even yours?
If your body made the call, not your anxiety—what would you do next?
To the brave thing,

💌 Personal Dispatch from the girl who’s done a lot of Brave Things lately:
I’ve been getting all misty-eyed and emo (what’s new) seeing almost 1,000 listens on the podcast in under two weeks. WHAT. That’s wild. That’s “I might cry in a Trader Joe’s parking lot” kind of wild, scratch that….PROBABLY cried in the Trader Joe’s Parking lot kind of wild.
People keep asking me:
When did I know this was the right direction?
How did I start? What mic do I use?
Who did my cover art? What’s my editing software?
And while I will 100% spill all the behind-the-scenes tea at some point, here’s the advice no one really says loud enough:
If something is in you, it’s because it’s meant to come through you.
Your job is to get out of your own way long enough to let it.
You don’t need to be ready.
You just need to be willing.
Willing to be bad at it.
Willing to say the damn thing.
Willing to bet on yourself like your life depends on it—because in some small way, it does.
You’re not here by accident.
You care.
You care about meaning and growth and people and mental health and the tiny glimmers of hope that remind you to keep going when everything feels like too much.
That matters. YOU matter.
So stop stalling.
Do the damn thing.
And if it helps—just know I’m out here doing the same. Hair in a messy bun. Courage on 11%. Still showing up.
I love you. Mean it.
Okay, but ONE MORE THING 💗💗💗
(courage low, bravery high)
I created something I always wanted, and I have to believe there are other people out there that need this too.
If you’ve been following along with my work the last couple of months, then you know a girl has been THROUGH it. Breaking old patterns, rewriting damaging beliefs and stories, and navigating heartbreak.
I have really good friends but over the last couple of years I wanted somewhere that I could get encouragement without having to explain why I needed it, or to feel a little less alone in the struggle (whether that struggle was not texting my ex, or getting to the gym, or going on a walk when I didn’t feel like it).
Sometimes, even though I love my people and they hardly ever need the backstory to help me meet my needs, I just want something easier, straight-forward, and guaranteed to make me feel better every. single. time.
So I created exactly that.
I began to record these Pep-Talks to myself. Everything I felt like I wanted to hear when I needed it most, so that in the future when I was feeling this again, I could play one and feel supported. And it made all the difference.
👉🏼 So I call them Back Pocket Pep-Talks™ and it’s my private audio subscription for the days when you don’t need another productivity hack or mindset tip—you just need someone in your ear saying “babe, you’re not crazy. You’re just growing.”
Think:
1–5 minute audio bursts
Motivational voice notes from your mildly-concerned-but-deeply-invested bestie
Emotional CPR for your nervous system
For when you need to let something (or someone go), when you need someone to pull you out of the puddle you’ve been sitting in, when you need someone to give you a swift kick in the butt (lovingly) to remind you how great you are, when you need to get to the gym or go outside, when you deserve more, etc etc etc.
$7/month until August 1st (aka: go now, thank me later)
For the days you feel stuck, over it, or wildly unqualified to be a person—there’s a pep-talk for that.
And it’s waiting for you.
And it’s so easy because the feed gets updated monthly with 20 new talks, delivered right to wherever you listen to podcasts already so you don’t have to bother with the noise of social media. 😘 yes, the over-thinker thought of everything.
Don’t Face Anything Alone Ever Again
I LOVE YOU.

Love the breakdown and simple steps. Thank you for telling me to take 2 breaths instead of 8 because 8 feels overwhelming! haha.
