The Week Ahead: A Cosmic Forecast
This week has the energy of a long-overdue deep breath—the kind you take after holding it in for so long, you forgot what air feels like. But it’s not all gentle exhales and poetic realizations. No, this week is peeling away the dead layers you’ve outgrown. Slowly. Reluctantly. With the faint suspicion that if you wait just a little longer, maybe they won’t have to go at all.
Unfortunately, the cosmos doesn’t deal in avoidance.
Venus enters Aries (Feb 4): The planet of love, pleasure, and aesthetics moves into Aries, where subtlety goes to die. If you’ve been people-pleasing or waiting for a sign to go after what (or who) you want, this is it. Venus in Aries is not here to play polite. It’s here to remind you that desire is meant to be claimed, not questioned.
Jupiter stations direct in Gemini (Feb 4): After a long retrograde, Jupiter—the planet of expansion, luck, and doing the absolute most—moves forward in the sign of ideas, communication, and chaotic multitasking. If your thoughts have felt like they’ve been stuck in molasses, prepare for movement. But be warned: Jupiter in Gemini isn’t about depth. It’s about speed, distraction, and having ten tabs open in your brain at all times. Use it wisely.
Full Moon in Leo (Feb 12): The drama. The spectacle. The unbearable weight of not being perceived the way you want to be. Leo energy is a call to step fully into the light—to be seen, but more importantly, to see yourself clearly. This isn’t about external validation (though, let’s be honest, Leo loves a little applause). It’s about owning your presence. What parts of you have been waiting for permission to exist fully? And who gave you the impression you needed permission in the first place?
The Tarot Pull: A Message for the Collective
Death Reversed + Eight of Swords Reversed
The message is as loud as it is inconvenient: Let it go.
Death reversed is that liminal space between the past and the future—where the old you is too worn-out to function, but the new you hasn’t fully arrived yet. Think of it as standing in the doorway of your own life, refusing to walk through because “What if I don’t like what’s on the other side?”
Eight of Swords reversed is realizing you were never actually trapped. The cage was built from fear, from self-doubt, from the belief that just because you’ve been stuck, you must be stuck. False.
If you needed a cosmic permission slip to stop gaslighting yourself into staying small—here it is.
Journal Prompts for the Week
Where am I resisting change that’s already happening?
What outdated belief still has its hooks in me, even though I know better?
If I fully trusted myself, what decision would I make today?
What part of my identity have I been performing rather than actually living?
Where am I choosing to feel powerless when I’m actually free?
Write about it. Sit with it. Burn the paper if you need to. The point is to acknowledge it. Transformation doesn’t require you to be fearless—it just asks that you stop pretending you don’t hear it knocking.
A Kitchen Witch Ritual: Nourishment for Transformation
Fire Cider for Courage, Clarity & Cleansing
Let’s talk about fire cider.
I was first introduced to this miracle potion by a friend who swore it would “clear out anything” (sinus infections, bad energy, existential dread, maybe even your ex if you make it strong enough). I was skeptical—until I took a shot of it and instantly felt like I had been rebooted at a cellular level.
It’s sharp. It’s fiery. It’s the closest thing to drinking liquid transformation.
And that’s exactly why we’re making it this week (but needs a 2-4 steeping period because shedding requires patience). If Death reversed is hanging on for dear life, and the Eight of Swords reversed is trying to pry our fingers off the edge, then what better way to physically embody release than by taking something that literally burns through stagnation?
Ingredients:
1 cup raw apple cider vinegar (cleansing, clarifying, strong “it’s time to move on” energy)
½ cup raw honey (a little sweetness to remind you change doesn’t have to be bitter)
1 whole head of garlic, peeled (protection, immunity, an ancient defense against both vampires and bad decisions)
1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, sliced (warming, energizing, kickstarts circulation—aka, gets things moving when you’d rather stay stuck)
1 thumb-sized piece of turmeric, sliced (anti-inflammatory, balances the fire so you don’t actually combust)
1 jalapeño, sliced (for when you need a little extra courage to let go of the past)
1 small onion, chopped (for wisdom, boundaries, and cutting through the BS)
1 lemon, sliced (because endings and beginnings are the same thing in disguise)
1 tsp black peppercorns (enhances everything, because what’s the point of transformation if you don’t feel it?)
Optional: rosemary, thyme, or cinnamon sticks (for grounding, resilience, and a little extra magic)
Directions:
Throw everything in a jar. No perfectionism allowed.
Cover with apple cider vinegar and honey.
Shake it up like you mean it.
Let it infuse for 2-4 weeks. (Patience is part of the magic.)**
**but if you’re like me and low-key love to torture yourself, if you put it all in a small pot and simmer it for 5-8 minutes on low heat you will cough and hate yourself a little but it’s “ready” the next day.
Strain and store.*** Take a spoonful whenever you need a reminder that you’re capable of doing hard things.
Why This Works for the Weeks Ahead:
Fire cider clears out literal stagnation, just like this cosmic energy is trying to do for you.
It’s fiery, bold, and impossible to ignore—just like Venus in Aries and the Leo Full Moon.
It supports the immune system because, honestly, what’s the point of transformation if you immediately get sick from the stress of it?
Make it with intention. Drink it when you need clarity. And if it makes you cough a little? Good. That means it’s working.
***Fire cider should be stored in the fridge after it's been strained.
During the infusion process (the 2-4 weeks when it's sitting with all the ingredients), it’s best to keep it in a cool, dark place like a pantry or cupboard. But once you strain out the solids, it should be refrigerated to maintain freshness and potency.
Since it’s vinegar-based, it has a long shelf life—typically up to a year if kept in the fridge. Just make sure to shake it before using, as the ingredients can settle. If you ever notice mold or an off smell (which is rare with vinegar infusions), toss it.
An Invitation to Reflect
This week, you’re being asked to trust yourself in ways that might feel wildly uncomfortable. To let go of something you swore you couldn’t live without. To be seen in a way that’s bigger, bolder, and more you than you’ve ever allowed before.
It’s not easy. It never is. But what if—just for a moment—you let it be?
Affirmation for the Week:
I release what no longer serves me. I trust my own becoming. I am ready to be seen.
Sit with it. Let it settle in your bones. And if all else fails, take a shot of fire cider and pretend you have your life together.
To the brave thing, the quiet knowing, the unfolding you—see you next week.
P.S. If you actually make this fire cider, I expect updates. Preferably with dramatic testimonials about how it changed your life or, at the very least, cleared your sinuses.
