Cosmic Forecast: The Energetics of Reciprocity
This week invites you into the art of exchange—with yourself, with others, with the unseen forces that shape your life. The Six of Pentacles is not just about balance; it’s about the power dynamics of giving and receiving. It’s about the unspoken agreements that dictate how energy, support, and care flow between people.
Have you ever noticed how some people struggle to receive even the smallest kindness—a compliment, an offer of help, a moment of grace? They deflect, downplay, or insist they’re fine. Meanwhile, others seem to take without hesitation, as if the world is an open buffet where they’re entitled to more than their share.
Most of us live somewhere in between—swinging between over-giving and feeling guilty for needing anything at all. But this week, the universe is asking you to take a closer look:
Where is the balance off in your relationships, your work, your sense of self-worth?
Where are you giving in ways that drain rather than energize?
Where are you resisting the support that could actually lighten your load?
With the Sun squaring Jupiter midweek, there’s an urge to overextend—saying yes to things that don’t actually serve you, trying to be everything for everyone, chasing an illusion of “more.” The shadow of Jupiter is excess, and when it collides with the Sun, we overestimate what we can handle. This is a moment to check in: Are you giving because it’s truly in alignment, or because it keeps you feeling necessary?
Mercury still swims through Pisces, where words are soft and boundaries are blurrier than usual. Conversations this week might feel more emotional than logical, making it easy to read too much into silences or subtext. If you find yourself spiraling into overanalyzing what someone meant, take a step back. Not everything is a sign.
This is a week to examine the ways you participate in energetic exchanges—the things you offer freely, the things you unconsciously hoard, and the stories you tell yourself about what is “yours” to carry.
Tarot Pull: The Six of Pentacles – The Balance Between Holding and Offering
The Six of Pentacles is often depicted as a figure handing out coins, but the real magic of this card is in the unseen currents of exchange. This is about more than generosity—it’s about the hidden contracts beneath the act of giving and receiving.
Some people give with invisible strings attached.
Some people give as a way to control.
Some people give because they don’t know how to receive.
And some people—rare, but real—give because they trust in the flow of abundance, in the natural rhythm of reciprocity, in the truth that nothing stays stagnant unless we clutch at it too tightly.
This card asks: Where do you fall on this spectrum?
If you’ve been over-giving—pouring energy into people who never refill your cup—this week is your nudge to recalibrate. You are not a bottomless well. Generosity that comes from depletion is martyrdom, not kindness.
If you’ve been holding back—guarding your energy, your time, your resources out of fear—this is your invitation to soften. What if letting yourself receive isn’t a burden, but an act of trust?
The healthiest relationships (with people, with money, with your own self-worth) are built on flow, not imbalance. This is a chance to examine where you stand in the current of exchange and whether it’s truly serving you.
Journal Prompts: Excavating Your Patterns of Exchange
Where do I give freely, and where do I give with hesitation?
What does receiving make me feel? Comfortable? Unworthy? Vulnerable? Why?
If I had to name one thing I’m afraid of running out of, what would it be? (Energy, love, time, money, trust?)
Where in my life do I need to ask for help, and what stops me?
How can I practice receiving with the same ease that I offer to others?
Kitchen Witch Ritual: A Spell for Flowing Abundance
This week, we work with cinnamon—an herb of warmth, circulation, and prosperity. It reminds us that true abundance is not about hoarding—it’s about movement.
This ritual is meant to reprogram your relationship with giving and receiving, aligning you with the truth that what is meant for you cannot be withheld, and what is no longer serving you is safe to release.
What you’ll need:
A cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon
A small bowl of water
A piece of paper and pen
The Ritual:
Write down two things: One thing you want to release (over-giving, scarcity, resentment) and one thing you want to welcome (support, ease, trust).
Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the paper, envisioning it as an activator—a catalyst for change.
Dip your fingers into the water and lightly touch the cinnamon, setting an intention:
If you’ve been over-giving, whisper: “I allow my energy to be honored.”
If you’ve been withholding, whisper: “I allow myself to receive with grace.”
Fold the paper and carry it with you for the week. Let it be a reminder that balance is not about control—it’s about trust.
An Invitation to Reflect: The Energy of Enoughness
This week, watch how you move through your days. Notice where you give without question, and where you resist letting yourself be held. Pay attention to the places you say “I’ve got it” when really, you don’t.
This is not just about money. It’s about energy. It’s about self-worth. It’s about the quiet, unconscious contracts we agree to out of habit.
Abundance is not about how much you have. It’s about how easily you let it flow.
So, this week, try something different. Let yourself receive. Let yourself ask. Let yourself trust that not everything has to be earned the hard way.
Because here’s the truth: You don’t owe anyone your exhaustion. And you are worthy of support, simply because you exist.
On a Personal Note:
I thought it would be fun to add a personal update every so often at the end of these as a little, what’s up with me! Especially because I’ve gotten several messages with questions about vanlife/life on the road, and things I’ve been working through since the beginning of the year.

I left Bend, OR at the beginning of the year to do some deep self discovery work after ending my relationship and needing to gain some well deserved perspective on who I needed to be for myself going forward.
If you’ve been reading any of my writing as of late, you can feel an air of grief riddled through most of it because at my core I think my soul is screaming for a place to just be honest. Substack became the place I wanted to do that after stripping bare all the ways I feel useful in the world instead of loved.
Not because people don’t love me, and love me well, but I didn’t really love me. Not separate from the function I serve in the world or for other people in my life anyway.
So to say it’s been A TIME OF IT is a gross understatement.
I’ll give a more thorough post of all that I’ve seen, thought about, and experienced lately but as I write this I’m back in Bend, OR til tomorrow.
I went from Santa Cruz, CA > Portland, OR > Bend, OR, and now I’ll be headed back to Portland, then back to Santa Cruz (because I forgot my kindle there 🤦🏽♀️) and then I’ll decide what I want from there but I was so happy to wrap my arms around my friends (pictured above) and as much of what I don’t have figured out right now, I know that’s enough.
Jeez water seasons (hello Pisces season starting on the 19th) are heavyyyy.
Anyway,
